After a solid pro day performance, Devon Still remains a solid option as a first-round pick.
I’ve confirmed that 28 NFL teams attended Penn State’s Pro Day on Wednesday, March 14th. The four teams that weren’t in Happy Valley were the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins.
The top prospect for the Nittany Lions in this year’s draft is 6-foot-4, 303-pound defensive tackle Devon Still. Still didn’t standout during his workout at the Scouting Combine, where he ran a 5.08 in the 40, posted 26 reps in the bench press and generated a 29.5 inch vertical.
But, at Wednesday’s Pro Day, Still bounced back and impressed scouts with his athleticism and fluidity during drills. Still improved his 40-time and lowered it to a 4.95. We’re still five weeks away from the NFL Draft and at this time, Still is rated as my 19th overall prospect and a first-round prospect.
Other Penn State prospects that will likely hear their name called on draft day are: defensive end Jack Crawford (4th – 5th Round), wide receiver Derek Moye (5th – 6th Round), defensive back D’Anton Lynn (7th Round - PFA), Chaz Powell (7th Round – PFA) and tight end Andrew Szczerba (7th Round – PFA).
